Liv-ex (The London International Vintners Exchange) was founded in 1999. It operates a business to business electronic wine-trading platform, charging a commission on each transaction.  At the same time Liv-ex is the reference for wine prices, valuations and other market data, including the Liv-ex Fine Wine 100 Index (the industry’s benchmark).  Liv-ex also provides merchants with fulfilment, storage and transport services through its logistics business-Vine.  The business offers its services from a web based platform and a family of APIs at wwwliv-ex.com.  With customers in 35 countries, Liv-ex is used by the vast majority of fine wine merchants around the world. Sales have grown rapidly to exceed £50m.  Liv-ex’s growth has coincided with expansion of the internet and the development of the wine investment market.

We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate who wants to pursue a career in data. This role will give you the opportunity to develop skills in a number of areas including data insights, operations, product development or more wide across the business. There will also be the opportunity to learn about wine and how the wine market works.  You will be an important member of a small data team, working alongside colleagues on the trading desk and product development team in the UK and data processing team in India. The role combines regular activities and ad-hoc projects.  Regular work includes the development and maintenance of business dashboards for KPI analysis and customer insight. Ad-hoc work can be related to our marketing and sales activity, customer requests and market research/analysis.
