Highly motivated Assistant Manager is needed to the run the Devon based factory of a long established bespoke joinery business.  This company specialises in the manufacture of fitted and stand alone furniture and general joinery products for domestic, commercial and trade clients.  Reporting to the Production Manager, the role of the Assistant Manager is to plan, direct, coordinate and control the activities of workers engaged in production.  You will act as the eyes and ears of the Production Manager and maintain a strong presence on the factory floor.  Supervising the day to day running of production, you will make sure that the production line is operating smoothly and that the staff are meeting their targets.  It is essential that you have a background in joinery, knowledge of the fitted furniture industry, good CAD skills and experience of overseeing a workshop production team.  The factory itself is modern, well equipped and everything is crafted to the highest quality.  This company has ambitious expansion plans, making it an exciting time to join!  An attractive remuneration package with performance related bonuses is available for the right candidate.
